The 5th Annual Bo Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament brings together family and friends.  This website contains information about the annual golf tournament and party with silent auction that is held in honor and celebration of the life of Bo Johnson.  

Our fourth year was another great success.  The event raised over $50,000, which went to The Comprehensive Cancer Center and The Bo Johnson Memorial Research Grant.  This research project will hopefully move us one step closer to finding a cure to esophageal cancer.  

The planning for the 2010 party and tournament is underway!  The tournament will once again be held at Highland Golf Course on Friday April 23rd, to be preceded by a fabulous party held at The Birmingham Zoo on Thursday evening, April 22nd.   

As many of you know, Bo was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2005 and although he fought a hard battle, he was taken from us a mere three months after diagnosis.   After Bo's premature death, his family and friends set up the first annual golf tournament to raise funds and awareness for cancer.  The events in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 raised over $200,000.  Together we can all help make a positive difference for those still fighting the cancer that Bo fought so bravely.
